Stonehenge

     We stopped at Stonehenge on the way to Matt's baptism. We have never stopped before. It is a fun place! It is a war memorial.
     It is officially called Stonehenge Memorial , Mary hill, Washington. The Stonehenge Memorial was built by entrepreneur Sam Hill as a tribute to the soldiers of Klickitat County, Washington, who lost their lives in World War I. Sam Hill's Stonehenge is a full-scale replica of England's famous Stonehenge in Wiltshire (see "Stonehenge, Wiltshire, England" below). Hill was a Quaker pacifist. 

 The site also includes monuments to the soldiers of Klickitat County who died in World War II, Korea, and Viet Nam. Hill's own crypt is a short walk southwest of Stonehenge on a bluff overlooking the Columbia River.

Matt's Baptism

        We went to Matt's baptism in Corvallis! There was one other 'child of record baptism". We waited in the chapel for the first baptism. Then they moved to the RS room and we had our baptism. The Bishop asked all 3 granddads to bear their testimonies. Then after the baptism, Andrew and the grand-mom's got to bear their testimonies. We went home to Ben and Lindsy's and had pulled pork and rolls, salad and a delicious chocolate cake! We are proud of our son for him to baptize his son. The  circle of life continues.

Thanksgiving

Taylor and Sadie choose their hats and decorated them, well done!

Rob and his family came, they brought Duncan. Ben and his family came. Luke and his girlfriend, Taylor came.
We went to the Christmas light parade on Friday and then the DIL and I went to a black light zumba party at the Maridel center.
We played miniature golf with the little ones and the big boys played laser tag. Luke then challenged his girlfriend, Taylor to a killer game of ping pong. the little ones played air hockey.
We had a delightful Thanksgiving feast.
Luke and Taylor made the smashed tators and brought a delightful cheesecake and sparkling cider.
Rob and Lindsey made a hot green bean casserole and a berry pie.
Ben and Lindsy made 2 kinds of yummy rolls, chocolate pecan rollos and a delicious pumpkin roll.
Duncan made a wonderful pie.
We made the turkey, cranberry juice, dressing, and Reese's Peanut butter  cups.

Boise Temple Cultural Event

The Boise temple cultural event had over 8,000 youth participating. They were in the Taco Bell arena part of Boise State University. They had a morning practice and them presented it to the prophet that evening. They had all kinds of dances, a slap dance, jitterbug, a human flag, a ballet and a march of Eagle Scouts and girls with their YW medallions. It was amazing to watch.
