Okay so our grand & glorious plans didn't quite pan out. Duncan did make three pie crusts and I did the fillings. Bruce made everything else. We skipped the carrots, olives and mushrooms and pecan pie. (we can eat those today) sigh

Food and cooking plays an important part in our home so here is our menu. We each get to choose a pie. Now we are going over the river and through the woods to the grocery store.

Cut out a fabric rectangle, 5-by-10-inch, 8-by-16-inch, and 11-by-22-inch pieces for our three pumpkin sizes.
Fold rectangle, right side up, so short sides meet; stitch along that edge with 1/4-inch seam allowance. Baste the bottom seam and pull threads to gather.
pull thread to cinch fabric, and stitch to secure.
I think I will add a green button for the stem. I love buttons.
