Cutthroat Skip - Bo

Overslept this morning. Having trouble sleeping so was awake for awhile and then fell asleep and didn't wake up until 7am. I am a worrier. I do stairs and that helps me sleep better.
OT was a putting pegs in a 9 hole flat peg board with the right hand timed and then the left hand untimed. He is getting pretty good with his right hand. He then put rings on the peg board that is vertical. That stretches his hand and arm. I mentioned Bruce likes to do indexing for a family search website so she had Bruce practice typing. His left hand is not slowing him down. He used different tendons so his hand was tired after typing a paragraph. Well done!
PT was stretching his legs and showing me how to use a lift.
Back to the room to decide we are going shopping for a bag for his wheelchair and trying to find some snap off bb pants. He can't have a bag on the back of his chair, he can't reach back that far, he wants a side bag or a fanny pack we can latch to the front. Went to two stores and struck out. Bruce got really chilled, we went out twice to two different stores. They have an electric blanket that plugs into the lighter in the car. Who would have thought? We get to take it home with us, the dead skin cells, hygiene thing.
It wasn't enough to keep him warm. We went to Arby's to eat take out in the car and then back to the hospital. The PT person put two warm blankets on him to stop his shivering. The PT lady says he can't balance very well if he is shivering. There he did more ranging and sitting up for balance. Back to the room for a half hour break and a nap. He is really tired today.
OT came in and was talking to me about stretching his left arm. He was still asleep.     Erin our social worker wanted to talk about home care, laminate in the bedroom because of the heaviness of the lift and when the renovations would begin. If the renovations aren't complete he will go to an assisted care at Wildflower lodge or Grande Ronde Retirement for a couple of days. I can take him to PT for some thing to do or the library.

Dinner was ham, taters, green beans, chicken noodle soup and strawberries for zert.(dessert) we like to play with words at our house... A new person sat at our table tonight. Her name is Joan, she fell down at her house and doesn't remember what happened. Her daughter Debbie joined us after dinner and brought a Skip- Bo card game. It was cutthroat. Joan plays to win. She won the first two games and I one the last game. If looks could kill. She wanted a rematch but Bruce was ready to return to his room. Her daughter comes in every evening from 40 miles away. It was fun to meet them and join in their card game.
Bruce and I read scriptures together, we shared a sloppy kiss right on the mouth and I grabbed his dirty laundry and headed for my Boise home.
