Grandpa K in the Hospital

Grandpa K was riding his bike to a meeting. He was hit by a car. He was wearing his helmet and that helped prevent more injuries. His injuries were so bad he got to take a ride in the life flight helicopter.  This is the second time he has done this. We will save that story for a later time.
Before GrandPa K left in the life flight helicopter he was given a blessing. Andrew's principal, Bishop Baxter brought him to the hospital. Bishop called the Stake President and he joined us at the hospital. While Grandpa K was in the ER room, he had 30 min before the helicopter arrived. That is when he was anointed and given a blessing.
The helicopter goes really fast 100 miles an hour. Andrew and I went home to pack. In a time of crisis like this, family and friends help. Lots of people called to help. Our friend arranged to have the dog looked after, then she gave away some tomatoes we had from the garden. She called and cancelled Andrews physical therapy sessions. Thank you for your help. She locked both locks on the front door and had to break in. The second time that has been done. ( I can tell that story later too, if you want to hear it) The neighbors are watching and helping to keep a eye on things.
Here is a picture of the  special shoes Grandpa gets to wear. When you can't move your feet they get sores on them. These shoes help to keep sores from forming. They are soft and padded.
