Sunday with the Brothers

Bruce is on a ventilator and under heavy sedation, he can't talk. There is a smaller bandage on his neck, the surgery opening is still draining. He is wearing gloves to keep him from pulling the cord down his throat, a ventilator. Sometimes when patients wake up they can't remember, or are disoriented by what has happened and they start pulling at cords.
The physical therapist moved his arms and legs. He likes that, on Friday he said "it feels good to move".
There was a group of Hispanic people yesterday that had someone in ICU. I saw them in a circle, holding hands, heads bowed, praying. This is a praying place.
Four of our sons are here. They are trying to make me lough. I laugh til I cry. It is very emotional. Luke is Captain of the concrete canoe paddle team, they have practice on Saturday mornings. He was lamenting that he was missing it. Is that better than captain of the chess club?
We had general conference on but didn't pay much attention to it. We were busy remembering family stories.
Luke found a nice place to eat on his phone (no he wasn't eating his phone) across the viaduct. We walked over to the Pancake House and had a huge lunch.
  More watching and waiting.
The boys gave Grandpa K a blessing of healing and comfort. They gave one to me and another to Andrew. It is wonderful to have sons with priesthood power.
